The Scovell Scholarship winners are honored at a reception dinner each spring. The Scovell Foundation receives strong support from major local and national media outlets. The Dallas Morning News provides considerable local coverage pertaining to scholarship deadlines and the announcement of scholarship winners. Additionaly, FOX Sports has given significant exposure to the Foundation during its annual broadcast of the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic.

In addition to the grant, Scovell Scholarship recipients have the opportunity to participate in AT&T Cotton Bowl activities and to work during AT&T Cotton Bowl Week.

Annual Scovell Foundation fundraisers include the AT&T Big Play Luncheon, presented by the CBAA, and the Comerica Bank New Year's Parade, presented by the J. Curtis Sanford Parade Committee.  Both fundraisers occur during AT&T Cotton Bowl Week.
